Summer Night Concert Schönbrunn 2022
Andris Nelsons conducts the Vienna Philharmonic’s annual summer night concert with cellist Gautier Capuçon at Austria’s Schönbrunn Palace on June 17. This year’s program is about the musical heritage of Europe with a focus on Ukraine. Among other pieces, the Vienna Philharmonic will perform the waltz “Elegy” by the Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko. Music from Nelson’s homeland is also performed: a tango by Latvian Arturs Maskats.
The Summer Night Concert 2022 will be broadcasted via multiple platforms. The ORF will broadcast the concert beginning at 09:20 PM in ORF 2. 3sat will broadcast the concert on June 16 beginning at 09:45 PM. Check local listings for broadcast information in your home country.
