Dvořák with ConFusion – Klassik trifft Club

As part of ConFusion – Klassik trifft Club (Classical Meets Club), Andris Nelsons leads the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig in an innovative cross-genre event bridging traditional symphonic performance and contemporary electronic club culture.

The evening opens in the Main Hall (Großer Saal) with a complete performance of Antonín Dvořák’s monumental Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95 (“From the New World”). Following the symphonic program, the experience transitions seamlessly into the Gewandhaus main foyer for a late-night electronic club session featuring live synthesizer sets and electronic ensembles, including acts such as Karakum.

Designed to dissolve traditional boundaries between formal concert seating and dance culture, a single event ticket grants attendees access to both the orchestral performance in the Großer Saal and the late-night electronic after-party in the foyer.

ConFusion – Klassik trifft Club takes place on Saturday, November 14, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig.

Watch a performance of Dvořák’s “From the New World” with conductor Andris Nelsons and the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig.
