Finlandia with Andris Nelsons, Ross Jamie Collins, and Na’Zir McFadden

This month, Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s 2024 Tanglewood Music Center Conducting Fellows, Ross Jamie Collins and Na’Zir McFadden, conduct a program of Norwegian and Finnish Works with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The program begins with Jean Sibelius’ celebrated anthem of national pride and freedom, Finlandia, and concludes with his single-movement Seventh Symphony. Argentine pianist Sergio Tiempo plays Edvard Grieg’s fiery Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16, which is paired with the composer’s dance-inspired Holberg Suite. Performances take place November 29 and 30.
