For today’s concert, the first in the tour calendar, Andris Nelsons and the GHO will present a repertoire comprising Mendelssohn’s “Melusine” Overture, Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor featuring Mao Fujita, and Mendelssohn’s “Scottish” Symphony No. 3. Tomorrow’s program at the National Taichung Theater, will include the Overture and Liebestod from Wagner’s “Tristan & Isolde,” as well as Bruckner’s 9th Symphony.
Subsequent concerts will be held in Taichung and Taipei before moving on to South Korea, where the orchestra and Maestro Nelsons will be joined by Seong-Jin Cho for performances in Seoul and Daegu.
