Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra return to Japan

Tonight, Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra begin their tour to Japan. They will be performing in Yokohama (9 November), Kyoto (10 November), Osaka (11 November) and Tokyo (13, 14 and 15 November).

They will present three programmes:

Mahler Symphony No.6 (9 and 13 November)

Caroline Shaw ‘Punctum’, Mozart Symphony No.40 and Strauss ‘An Alpine Symphony’ (10 and 15 November)

Beethoven Piano Concerto No.5, with pianist Mitsuko Uchida, and Shostakovich Symphony No.5 (11 and 14 November)
