The Gewandhausorchester on takt1 & the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra on ARTE

A growing number of orchestras around the world are offering free live streams on their respective platforms to entertain music fans around the world who find themselves quarantined in an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19. A list highlighting Andris’ upcoming live streams are as follows:

On April 15 at 7 pm (CEST), the concert at Konzerthaus Dortmund with Andris Nelsons conducting the Gewandhausorchester and star soloists Kristine Opolais and Thomas Hampson, will be available to watch until April 17 via takt1. Titled “An Italian Opera Gala,” the program includes solos, duets, and instrumental works by Verdi, Rossini, and Puccini. For more information, click here.

ARTE is streaming Andris’ Lucerne Festival concert with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and pianist Yefim Bronfman. The program includes Beethoven’s overture to The Ruins of Athens and Piano Concerto No. 5, as well as works by Rimski-Korsakow, Dvořák and Chopin. The performance is available to stream via ARTE from March 15 to September 14.
