Barber, Mozart and Schumann with Daniil Trifonov and the Gewandhausorchester

Andris Nelsons is back in Leipzig to conduct a thrilling concert with Grammy Award-winning pianist Daniil Trifonov and the Gewandhausorchester, streamed LIVE on Friday 9 April at 20:00 on Arte. Dedicated to victims of the Coronavirus pandemic, the evening features an inspiring program of works by Barber, Mozart and Schumann.

The program will begin with Samuel Barber’s meditative Adagio for Strings. Daniil Trifonov will perform Mozart’s highly emotional Piano Concerto No.25 in C major, K503, and Robert Schumann’s life-affirming exuberant “Spring Symphony” forms the euphoric conclusion of the program.

Following the live stream, watch the concert on Deutsche Grammophon’s DG Stage until 13 April at 8pm CET / 2pm ET.

This event is produced by ARMIDA FILM GmbH Leipzig for Arte Concert in cooperation with ZDF and Deutsche Grammophon.
