Andris Nelsons returns to Amsterdam to conduct the Concertgebouworkest in five concerts at the Concertgebouw. Nelsons has been a welcome guest with the Concertgebouworkest since 2008. Their collaboration has resulted in outstanding performances of the symphonies of Shostakovich and a unique production in January 2020 of Skryabin’s Prometheus.

On August 26, 27, 28 & 29, they will perform Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2, a majestic work brimming with lyrical melodic lines and Russian vistas. The concerts on Friday, August 28, at 11:50 CEST, and on Saturday, August 29, at 20:05 CEST, will be broadcasted live from the Concertgebouw.
