Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra earn two Grammy nominations

Andris Nelsons along with the Boston Symphony Orchestra have earned two Grammy nominations for their recording of “Shostakovich Symphonies Nos. 4 & 11” in the categories of “Best Orchestral Performance” and “Best Engineered Album, Classical”. The album, released by Deutsche Grammophon on July 6, 2018, marks the third installment of Nelsons and the Bostonians’ epic collaboration to record all 15 symphonies of the composer’s canon live, plus the masterpiece opera, Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk.
