Andris Nelsons and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra present concerts throughout Europe this October, in Amsterdam, Paris, and Dortmund. They perform Wagner’s Prelude to Lohengrin, Gruber’s Aerial with trumpet soloist Håkan Hardenberger, and Strauss’ Tod und Verklärung and Till Eulenspiegel at the Het Concertgebouw on October 12 and the Konzerthaus Dortmund on October 15. They reprise the programme, substituting Wagner’s Prelude to Parsifal, on October 13 at the Concertgebouw, and bring the Strauss works, as well as the Lohengrin Prelude and Parsifal Prelude and Good Friday Spell on October 14 at the Philharmonie in Paris.
