„A Fragile Peace: Between the Wars“ with the Boston Symphony Orchestra

On Thursday, March 25, at 12pm through April 24, don’t miss Andris Nelsons lead the Boston Symphony Orchestra in the third episode of „A Fragile Peace: Between the Wars“, part of BSO Now’s Music in Changing Times series. The three-part concert series features programs focusing on a country key to world events during the 1918-1940 period.

In the third episode, Andris Nelsons leads the BSO in an all-Russian program, featuring Stravinsky’s Symphonies of Wind Instruments and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 1 and Tahiti Trot. Chamber music by American composers complements each BSO performance. This program will include American composer Eda Rapoport’s Poem, Op. 14, for viola and piano, with BSO violist Michael Zaretsky and pianist Randall Hodgkinson. Access the complete series of BSO videos through April 2021 for a donation of $100 or more. Learn more about the BSO’s „A Fragile Peace: Between the Wars“ programs here.
